Dream Girls of 1963 Gina Tan, Marissa Puno, Azon de Leon and Papoose Olizon
Poose Olizon: hi, found this old photo way back 1963..high school pa ako...at left is Georgina Roska..was it omar who said classmate niya si Gina? she was our neighbor in Washington St.after the house of Aling Ingka Mariano..nuong umalis na si Azon naging close kami, then she became close to Marissa Puno, sister of Clemens, the girl seated next to her...im sure kilala na ninyo ang dalawa pa riyan...grabe, even my daughters were never ganyan kapayat....
Julian: Party time, Pinoy style. The binibinis used to sit at the other end of the party room waiting for the guys, who were lined up at the other end. The guys rush towards them and ask them to dance. The guys pretend to head for a certain girl and then turn to another girl at the last moment. very mean. Girls made sure the guys don't get to close while slow dancing by placing their elbow directly on the guy's chest. very cold.
Vino: Ang fun activity pa ng mga bugoys pag Christmas season - kanyon kawayan, may kerosene sa loob, at lata ang bala.
I didn't join the Beatles concert. Walang kotse or most of the time uniformed ako of what you're doing because we had a different group. Rainmaker/Bugoys kayo, kami naman Lavativa.
Member namin si Alex Rosca, younger brother of Georgina Rosca. Later on Gina Rosca married a guy whose last name is Tan. Kaya Gina Tan siya. (True story, not a joke).
I remember, I as a Bugoy/Rainmaker used to go out with you, karnabal sa UST. Me karera ng daga. And another of your pasttime was pula't puti. Even the traffic light pinupustahan nyo. Kung pula o green. I remember sa likod nila Julian, me barbel.
Omar: the kawayan cannon with heated kerosene and when it backfires "sunog ang pilik mata at kilay mo". one time we had a kawayan cannon fight between the kids from metrica and the kids from simon. we fired the cannon and the "lata" hit ralph hahn on his eyebrow. he was an innocent bystander but when we all saw that he was bleeding, we all ran away.
to add to mikes recollection of the karnabal trips to ust. we used to go to a shooting gallery and try hitting the target with a "pardigones(BB gun)". When we couldn't hit the target we just aimed for one of the prizes, a can of pineapple juice. the owner did not notice but as we walked away from the booth, you could see that the can of pinapple juice was leaking. "salbahe ano?"
also prominent is mike's "pa kuela"... for example, he wrote "mike" on his 4 front teeth so that when he smiled you could read his name. ok guys, remember any more of those? anybody remember when nardo (aka ponga) was sleeping in the library of our house and he came running up the stairs and was yelling " inakap ako ng multo". i wasn't there but it was the time when loy and julian where kings of 1572 metrica st.. i hear loy even changed his name and would introduce himself as julian's brother...loy oteyza. omski
